School uniforms are making a comeback! Minister Tekin announced

Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin announced that starting from the 2025-2026 academic year, the casual dress code policy in schools will be abolished and a mandatory uniform requirement will be reintroduced. 

Tekin announced this significant decision at the report card distribution ceremony held at the 15 Temmuz Şehitleri Primary School in Bahçelievler.

Participating in the end-of-year events, Minister Tekin stated in his remarks to the press, 'As a result of the choices made by our teachers, administrators, and parent-teacher associations, we are returning to the uniform policy in our schools starting from the next academic year' he said.
