Turhan Çömez reveals: 36 students at a school in Bursa scored a perfect 500 on the LGS exam
The fact that 36 students at a school in Bursa achieved a perfect score of 500 on the High School Transition System (LGS) exam has raised allegations of irregularities. IYI Party MP Turhan Çömez criticized the situation and directed questions to the Minister of National Education.

In the High School Transition System (LGS) exam held on June 15, 2025, 719 students across Turkey answered all questions correctly, achieving a perfect score of 500.
However, it drew attention that 36 students from the Bursa Mahmut Celalettin Ökten Imam Hatip Secondary School achieved the same success.
İYI Party Balıkesir MP Turhan Çömez criticized this situation on social media and directed questions regarding the matter to Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin.
Pointing out that a total of 27 students in all other Imam Hatip Secondary Schools across Turkey achieved a perfect score of 500, Çömez drew attention to the disproportionate nature of the figure being 36 at the school in Bursa.
He also emphasized that only 0.07% of the total 963 thousand 142 students who took the exam achieved a perfect score.
Stating that similar situations occurred at the Mahmut Celalettin Ökten Anatolian Imam Hatip High Schools in Antalya Kepez and Trabzon, Çömez expressed that a total of 46 students at these three schools displayed a flawless performance. The fact that only 17 students were able to achieve a perfect score in the other 3500 Imam Hatip schools was described by Çömez as "rottenness."
Çömez noted that the administrators and students at these schools should be questioned, drawing attention to the depth of the incident.
In his post, while directing critical questions about the exam to Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, Çömez used the following expressions:
36 students from Bursa Mahmut Celalettin Ökten Imam Hatip Secondary School received a perfect score of 500 with zero errors. The rate is 9%.
The total number of students who received a perfect score of 500 in all other Imam Hatip Secondary Schools in Turkey is 27.
The rate of those who received a perfect score of 500 out of 963 thousand 142 students who took the exam is 0.07%.

Similarly, 4 students at the Trabzon Mahmut Celalettin Ökten Anatolian Imam Hatip High School received a perfect score of 500.
In other words, a total of 46 students at 3 "Mahmut Celalettin Ökten Imam Hatip" schools displayed a flawless performance.
In the remaining 3500 Imam Hatip schools, only 17 students were able to receive a perfect score of 500. This is not just a smell, it is a state of rottenness!
