University registration begins tomorrow: Candidates must pay attention to e-registration and special requirements

Following the announcement of the 2026-YKS placement results, the registration calendar for candidates placed in a higher education program is beginning. University registration procedures can be carried out starting August 24.

Candidates eligible for electronic registration will be able to complete their procedures via e-Devlet without needing to go to the university. However, it is important to check the document confirming that the process is complete after e-registration and to regularly follow the announcements of the university where one has been placed.

Candidates need to examine not only the general registration dates but also the special requirements that may vary by program. Failure to complete procedures for departments that require health reports, additional documents, or have program-specific application requirements may lead to grievances.

For students placed in programs with a preparatory year, the dates for foreign language proficiency and placement exams are particularly important. Course registration dates included in the academic calendar are also among the items that should not be missed following the registration process.

• - Check your registration document after completing e-registration.
• - Follow the university's official announcements and academic calendar.
• - Check whether a health report or program-specific document is required.
• - Do not miss the dates for preparatory, proficiency, and placement exams.

Candidates who do not register within the specified period will lose their right to regular registration. The situations of candidates with valid excuses may be evaluated within the framework of the procedures and timeframes determined by the relevant university.

On the other hand, it was reminded that for candidates placed in a program this year through central placement, the coefficient applied to the Secondary Education Achievement Score (OBP) will be halved if they take the YKS next year, even if they do not register.
