When are the common exam dates for middle and high schools, and how will the question distribution be?

The Ministry of National Education (MEB) has announced the dates for the "common exams" to be held in middle and high schools for the 2023-2024 school year. In its statement, it also included information regarding the distribution of questions for the exams.

The Ministry of National Education (MEB) has announced the dates for the "common exams" to be held in the second term of the 2023-2024 school year for middle and high schools.  Accordingly, the nationwide first written exams for 6th-grade Turkish and 9th-grade Turkish language and literature courses will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, and for mathematics courses on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.

In this direction, to increase the content validity of the exams and to ensure students prepare for the exams more consciously, subject-question distribution tables showing how many questions will be asked from which topics and learning outcomes have been prepared and published.

The nationwide common written exams will consist of a total of 16 questions for the middle school 6th-grade Turkish course, including 14 multiple-choice and 2 open-ended or short-answer questions; and 10 open-ended or short-answer questions for the 6th-grade mathematics course.

The high school 9th-grade Turkish language and literature common exam will consist of 7 open-ended or short-answer questions, while the mathematics course will consist of 8 open-ended or short-answer questions.
