Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin made evaluations regarding 2024 with only a few days left until the new year.

Speaking to the pro-government newspaper Türkiye Gazetesi, Tekin reacted to teachers who could not be appointed because their rankings changed.

REPORT CARD SYSTEM COMING TO AN END

Stating that they will implement new practices for influencer teachers, Tekin announced that the report card era in primary schools is coming to an end and that report cards will no longer be distributed. Tekin used the following expressions: "Now, regarding the coming year, we will have switched to a development report system in primary schools instead of the report card system."

ACCORDING TO TEKIN, "THERE IS NO INJUSTICE IN INTERVIEWS"

Minister Tekin, reacting to teachers who claim that there is injustice in interviews and that they could not be appointed because their rankings changed, said: "I chat with these friends. I tell them, 'If there is an injustice done to you, file a complaint immediately and we will do what is necessary'... They say, 'No, it wasn't done to me, but a friend in another province was given a higher grade.' Well, that is what an interview is. Now, there is no such thing as what could be defined as injustice between commissions here."

INFLUENCER TEACHERS

Stating that they receive many complaints about teachers who share their students on social media, Tekin said: "We will absolutely not tolerate practices that offend or disturb parents and students. Because we receive many such complaints via CİMER. This boundary must be well protected. We will implement practices regarding this."
