In the March 31 Local Administration General Elections, the mayor of the Çıldır district of Ardahan, where the AKP and CHP mayoral candidates received an equal number of votes, was determined by a draw.
In the draw held at the election board in the presence of party members, the name of AKP candidate Kemal Yakup Azizoğlu was drawn.
In the elections, both the AKP and CHP had received 28.7 percent of the vote proportionally.
The number of votes for each was 452.
