According to unofficial results in the March 31 Local Elections; Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor and CHP's candidate for the new term, Mansur Yavaş, received 60.35 percent of the vote. The People's Alliance's AKP candidate Turgut Altınok remained at 31.69 percent. While YRP candidate Suat Kılıç received 3.12 percent of the vote, Victory Party (Zafer Partisi) candidate Bartu Soral remained at 1.50 percent.

The research company that predicted the result most accurately in its polling study was AREA Research, which gave Mansur Yavaş a vote share of 60.1 percent.
In the survey conducted face-to-face by AREA Research with 3,009 people between March 23-26, 60.1 percent of participants answered Mansur Yavaş, while the rate of those saying Altınok was 30.5 percent. The rate of those who answered Suat Kılıç in the survey was measured at 3.4 percent.
Following AREA Research, another company that predicted Mansur Yavaş's vote share most accurately was BETİMAR. BETİMAR showed Yavaş's vote share as 61.2 percent, while it showed Altınok's vote support as 28.9 percent.
BETİMAR was followed by Özdemir Research, which showed Yavaş at 62.4 percent. Özdemir Research had also announced that Altınok was measured at 30.2 percent.
