By-elections concluded in 6 towns and 362 neighborhoods: Statement from the YSK
By-elections held across Turkey in 6 towns and 362 neighborhoods have concluded without incident. YSK Chairman Serdar Mutta noted the high turnout and organized nature of the elections, stating that the process was completed generally without problems.

As part of the by-elections, ballot boxes were set up today in certain districts of Tokat, Gümüşhane, and Nevşehir to determine mayors and municipal council members. Voting, which began at 08:00, ended at 17:00 in accordance with the schedule applied simultaneously across the country. Supreme Election Council (YSK) Chairman Serdar Mutta made statements following the elections.
371 THOUSAND 870 VOTERS CAST BALLOTS IN THE ELECTION
According to information provided by the YSK, elections for mayors and municipal council members were completed in the towns of Yolüstü and Çevrecik in the Reşadiye district of Tokat, Bağtaşı in the Almus district, Kuşçu in the Yeşilyurt district; Tekke in the Central district of Gümüşhane; and Mustafapaşa in the Ürgüp district of Nevşehir. At the same time, neighborhood heads (muhtars) were determined in 355 neighborhoods across the country, and council of elders members were determined in 37 neighborhoods.
A total of 1,164 ballot boxes were set up for the elections, and the will of 371 thousand 870 registered voters was reflected at the polls. With the official end of voting at 17:00, ballot committees began counting and tallying procedures in accordance with regulations.
NO PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED DURING ELECTIONS
YSK Chairman Serdar Mutta made the following statements in a written announcement regarding election day:
"Voting was carried out with 371 thousand 870 registered voters at a total of 1,164 ballot boxes. All necessary measures were taken by the YSK to ensure the elections were conducted in an orderly manner throughout the voting process, and it has been determined that election tasks and procedures were completed generally without any problems."
In the ballot boxes where counting and tallying have begun, result reports are being prepared by the relevant members, signed securely, and transferred to the election information system. Thanking all officials and citizens during this process, Mutta said, "On behalf of myself and the Supreme Election Council, I wish for the results to be beneficial to our nation. Respectfully announced to the public."
