Young person who jumped from dormitory window loses life
In the Menteşe district of Muğla, a young person who jumped from a window at a student dormitory was injured despite the deployment of an air cushion and later passed away at the hospital where they were taken.

The incident occurred at the Turgutreis Male Student Dormitory located in the Menteşe district. According to the information obtained, I.C., who was reportedly in distress, climbed onto the window of the dormitory where he was staying and threatened to jump. Upon notification by citizens in the area and dormitory officials, police, AFAD, fire department, UMKE, and 112 Emergency Health teams were dispatched to the scene in a short time.
Upon reaching the scene, the teams began efforts to persuade the young man while simultaneously preparing for the possibility of a fall. AFAD teams quickly deployed an inflatable air cushion in the dormitory garden as a safety measure. Despite all the efforts of the teams, the young man, who could not be persuaded, threw himself into the void.
The young man fell onto the air cushion but made contact with the concrete ground, sustaining serious injuries. Medical teams waiting at the scene provided initial intervention to the injured young man before transferring him to Muğla Training and Research Hospital. Despite all interventions at the hospital, I.C. could not be saved.
