MetroPOLL Research Founder and Manager Prof. Dr. Özer Sencar shared the results of the "Pulse of Turkey April 2024" survey with the public.
1.3 MILLION VOTES WENT TO CHP, 1 MILLION VOTES TO YRP!
According to the post Sencar made on his social media account, participants were asked, "Which party did you vote for in the March 31, 2024 Local Elections?"
Participants who stated that they voted for the AKP in the May 14 elections reported that 18.6 million voted for the AKP again, while 12.2 million voted for the CHP. The number of those who stated they voted for the New Welfare Party (YRP) was 1 million, while the number of those who preferred the MHP was recorded as 450 thousand.
3 million people reported that they did not go to the polls or cast an invalid vote.
Evaluating the survey results, Sencar stated, "The AKP lost approximately 6.4 million of the votes it received in the May 14 parliamentary elections in the March 31 local elections. Approximately 1.3 million of this went to the CHP, and 1 million went to the YRP. 3 million did not go to the polls or invalidated their votes."
