İYİ Party delegation arrives at the YSK: We were subjected to a local operation!

İYİ Party Ordu Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate Enver Yılmaz and the İYİ Party delegation made statements in front of the YSK.

"IT CREATES SUSPICION"

İYİ Party Deputy Chairman Hakan Şeref Olgun stated, "It has been recorded that there were 30,660 invalid ballots in the metropolitan mayoral election round alone. However, as a result of our applications, in the ballot boxes that were reopened, it was determined that almost all of the ballots invalidated due to double stamps were marked for the İYİ Party and another party, and that the ballots invalidated for being blank did not have the folding marks that would occur when placed in an envelope, meaning there was no possibility for the ballot to have fit into the ballot box in that state. When comparing the number of ballots and envelopes delivered to the ballot boxes in the morning with the number of unused remaining ballots and envelopes and the number of voters who cast ballots, it was determined that there were missing envelopes and ballots in many ballot boxes. There are also extra ballots and envelopes. This situation has raised suspicions regarding the security of election documents and creates the suspicion that ballots from different ballot boxes may have been mixed into other ballot boxes."

Olgun added, "It has been determined that out of a total of 1,200 ballot boxes, only 95 of the ballot box chairmen or civil servant members were members of a political party."

İYİ Party Ordu Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate Enver Yılmaz also said, "I estimate that when 4,500 ballot box officials are counted for those 95 ballot boxes, the difference might be 50 or maybe 100 thousand. It is legally invalid for a civil servant who is also a party member to serve as a ballot box chairman; looking at it with that logic, all those vote totals are cancelled, and therefore a demand for the election to be renewed due to complete illegality has arisen. We have no hesitation; we are legally right to the end. We already believed that we won this election locally. While we were ahead in the data coming in until 7 o'clock, between 7 and 11 o'clock, by closing the entries into the system including AA, YSK, and ANKA, when the system opened at 11 o'clock, we saw that we had fallen 2 points behind. We are saying that we were subjected to an operation locally. But we have submitted this to the YSK with its documents."
