Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş and the mayors of 16 districts visited Anıtkabir. Yavaş laid a wreath at Atatürk's mausoleum and signed the Anıtkabir Special Book.

Following the March 31 Local Administration General Elections, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yavaş, who was re-elected, and the mayors of 16 districts in the city visited Anıtkabir after receiving their certificates of election.
"I PROMISE BEFORE YOUR CHERISHED MEMORY"
Yavaş and the district mayors walked along the Lion Road to reach Atatürk's mausoleum.
Yavaş, who laid a wreath at Atatürk's mausoleum, then moved to the National Pact Tower to sign the Anıtkabir Special Book.
Yavaş wrote the following in the book:
“Dear Atatürk, under your leadership, I have come to your spiritual presence after being elected mayor for the second time by the appreciation of our nation in the Capital, the main headquarters of our Republic, which is the greatest work of our nation as a whole. I promise once again before your cherished memory; just as I have done until today, I will continue to manage our city with a fair, transparent, and participatory approach, without discriminating against anyone from now on. I will continue to serve Ankara, the people of Ankara, and our nation by observing the ancient characteristics of our nation that have persisted from history to the present day, as well as universal rights. Your love for the Turkish nation and your principles that shed light on our future will continue to be our greatest guide, as they have always been. Our only ideal, under your guidance, is to make the Capital Ankara a city that competes with the world's capitals. May your soul rest in peace.”
