Following the closing of the polls at 5:00 PM and the start of the count in the March 31 Local Elections, the question of who will win the election in İzmir has become a matter of curiosity.
For the İzmir elections, the CHP nominated Karşıyaka Mayor Cemil Tugay instead of the incumbent İzmir Metropolitan Mayor Tunç Soyer.
The AKP, together with the MHP, nominated Hamza Dağ as the candidate for the People's Alliance.
