The Supreme Election Council (YSK) will write the justification for its decision to grant the certificate of election for the Van Metropolitan Municipality to DEM Party's Abdullah Zeydan today.

In the March 31 Local Elections, the DEM Party candidate won the Van Metropolitan Municipality.
The Supreme Election Council (YSK) will write the justification for its decision to grant the certificate of election for the Van Metropolitan Municipality to DEM Party's Abdullah Zeydan today.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Following an objection, the Van Provincial Election Board had decided by majority vote that Abdullah Zeydan, who received the most votes for the Van Metropolitan Municipality in the Local Administration General Elections, should be "considered unelected" on the grounds that he "lacked the eligibility to be elected," and that the certificate of election should be delivered to the candidate with the next highest number of votes.
The DEM Party's objection to this decision was accepted by the YSK yesterday, and it was decided that the certificate of election should be given to Zeydan.
Following the Ministry of Justice's revocation of Zeydan's banned rights, many protests were held in the city and the region, and dozens of people were detained.
