163 out of 169 wildfires under control: Response continues in some regions

Aerial and ground efforts continue against forest fires affecting various regions of Turkey. Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı, in a statement regarding the latest situation, reported that 169 fires, 110 of which were outside forest areas, have been addressed across the country since yesterday.
Yumaklı announced that 163 of these fires have been completely brought under control, noting that the fires in Kaş, Antalya, and Eğirdir, Isparta, are among those now contained.
According to Minister Yumaklı, among the 6 fires continuing in 5 provinces, the fires in Gülnar, Mersin, and Seydikemer, Muğla, have been largely brought under control. It was reported that the intensity of the fires in Alanya, Antalya, and Fethiye, Muğla, has been reduced, while containment efforts continue in Çine, Aydın, and Gömeç, Balıkesir.
AERIAL INTERVENTION RESUMES IN ÇİNE
In the Çine district of Aydın, the fire broke out yesterday around 15:00 in the Kavşit neighborhood for reasons yet to be determined. In addition to the Regional Directorate of Forestry teams, aircraft, helicopters, heavy machinery, fire trucks, water tankers, and forestry workers were dispatched to the region.
AFAD, UMKE, gendarmerie, police, fire department, medical teams, State Hydraulic Works (DSİ) teams, and non-governmental organizations also took part in the region. Some highland houses were damaged in the Kavşit neighborhood where the flames reached; 2 people participating in the extinguishing efforts were affected by smoke.
Due to the fire, a part of the Mutaflar neighborhood and the Dutluoluk neighborhood were evacuated. The evacuated animals were taken to a safe area at the local animal market.
Aerial vehicles rejoined the ground efforts that continued throughout the night as soon as it became light. It was noted that the temperature in the fire area, which was imaged from the air with a thermal camera, reached 441 degrees.
SEYDİKEMER UNDER CONTROL, RESPONSE CONTINUES IN ALANYA
A new statement was also made regarding the fire in the Seydikemer district of Muğla. Minister Yumaklı announced that the fire in Seydikemer has been completely brought under control following intensive efforts.
In the Alanya district of Antalya, aerial and ground intervention continues against the fire that broke out in a forested area. It was reported that a turtle found in the area affected by the fire was rescued and placed in a puddle next to a pool used for garden irrigation.
It was announced that the fire in the Biga district of Çanakkale, which started in agricultural land and spread to a forested area, has been brought under control with aerial and ground intervention. Authorities state that teams continue cooling and control work in areas where the risk persists.
