With the arrival of May, the cool weather, rain showers, and strong northeasterly winds that have been affecting Turkey are gradually losing their impact, and temperatures in Istanbul are beginning to rise.
According to the latest meteorological assessments shared by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM), as the cool air coming from the north is replaced by a milder and sunnier weather system, temperatures across the city are expected to increase noticeably.
It was stated that with the strong winds and dense cloud cover beginning to lose their effect as of today, air temperatures in Istanbul are expected to hover between 22 and 25 degrees in the new week, and these values may rise a few degrees above seasonal norms.
