AKOM issues snow warning for Istanbul with specific timing!

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) has warned that precipitation, expected to fall mostly as sleet in the city until noon today, may briefly intensify and manifest as sudden snow showers.

The statement noted that after noon today, snow transitions are expected in the western districts of the European Side, namely Arnavutköy, Silivri, Çatalca, and Büyükçekmece, as well as in the higher parts of the Anatolian Side, specifically the Çekmeköy, Şile, and Beykoz districts, while other areas are expected to experience sleet and brief snow showers.
