AKOM issues warning for Istanbul with specific timing: Thunderstorms are coming
The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) has announced that intermittent thunderstorms are expected across Istanbul until the evening hours.

AKOM, affiliated with the IMM, announced today that intermittent thunderstorms are expected across Istanbul until the evening hours.
In its statement, AKOM noted, "The day in Istanbul began with thunderstorms alongside temperatures hovering around 24 degrees. The rainfall, which started in the morning, will continue intermittently until the evening. While the precipitation is expected to be locally heavy across Istanbul, temperatures will hover around 29 degrees."

Intermittent showers and thunderstorms are expected in Istanbul until September 4, with forecasts suggesting that the rainfall may be briefly heavy in some areas. Meanwhile, air temperatures are expected to remain around seasonal norms until September 6.
