A fire broke out on agricultural land near the village of Gökçalı in Çanakkale at around 14:00. The fire grew due to the effect of the wind.
Forestry and fire department teams were dispatched to the scene.
Teams affiliated with the Çanakkale Regional Directorate of Forestry began intervening in the fire from the air and on the ground.
The fire was brought under control with the intervention of 2 helicopters and 6 aircraft from the air, and 2 first-response vehicles, 24 water tenders, 8 water supply vehicles, a bulldozer, 8 service vehicles, test units, 5 fire trucks, 15 technical personnel, and a total of 192 personnel on the ground.
