Another forest fire report, this time from Yalova: Efforts to contain it are underway

Forest fires have broken out in the Keçikayalıkları area and the village of Kapaklı in the Armutlu district of Yalova.

It has been reported that the fire in the Keçikayalıkları area is close to residential zones and is growing rapidly. Aerial and ground teams are continuing their efforts to extinguish the fire in the region. In addition to the Bursa Regional Directorate of Forestry, fire departments from surrounding districts and towns have been dispatched to the area. 

Meanwhile, Yalova Governor Hülya Kaya stated in her remarks regarding the fire, “We are intervening in the fires that have developed at two points in Armutlu, in Kapaklı and Keçikayalıkları, with 2 firefighting helicopters, 10 water tenders, and our local fire trucks. We hope to bring the fire under control in a short time. Our teams and volunteers are on the ground taking all necessary precautions.”
