According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM), the northern parts of the country are expected to be partly to very cloudy, with rain and showers in the Black Sea region, the Anatolian side of Istanbul, and the surroundings of Kocaeli; sleet and snowfall are expected in the higher elevations of the interior of the Eastern Black Sea region, while other areas are expected to be partly cloudy and clear.

Precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the coastal areas of the Central and Eastern Black Sea and around Kastamonu. Air temperatures are expected to remain below seasonal norms across the country.

A warning has been issued to be careful and take precautions as frost is expected in the interior of the Aegean and Central Anatolia regions.

MARMARA

It is expected to be partly to very cloudy, with rain and showers in the Anatolian side of Istanbul and the surroundings of Kocaeli. Haze and occasional fog are expected in the south of the region.
