Attention residents of these cities! Meteorological warning for downpours and thunderstorms

The General Directorate of Meteorology has released the weather report for Saturday, July 11, 2026. According to the latest forecasts, heavy downpours and thunderstorms are expected in Ordu and Giresun, while precipitation will also be seen in the Eastern Black Sea coastal areas, Artvin, Ardahan, Kars, and parts of Samsun and Sinop. The Meteorology office has issued warnings against the risks of flash floods, water inundation, lightning, landslides, and strong winds, while reporting that temperatures will remain within seasonal norms and sunny weather will prevail across most of the country, particularly in the Marmara, Aegean, and Southeastern Anatolia regions.

According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: It is estimated that the northeastern parts of our country and the inland parts of the Mediterranean will be partly to, at times, very cloudy, with downpours and thunderstorms expected in the Taurus Mountains region of the Mediterranean, the Eastern Black Sea coast, the surroundings of Ordu, Artvin, Ardahan, and Kars, as well as the inland parts of Samsun and Sinop, while other areas are expected to be partly cloudy and clear. Precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the surroundings of Ordu and Giresun.

No significant change is expected in air temperatures.

The wind is expected to blow from the north in general, and from the south in the Mediterranean, light to occasionally moderate.
