The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a storm and cold weather warning for the Marmara Region for the weekend. According to forecasts, precipitation will be effective across the country over the weekend, and air temperatures will drop rapidly.

The General Directorate of Meteorology stated in its announcement, “As of Saturday morning, winds across the region are expected to blow from the north and northwest as a storm (50-70 km/h), and from Sunday morning onwards as a strong storm (70-90 km/h), with occasional full storm conditions (90-110 km/h) in the east; therefore, it is necessary to be careful and take precautions against potential disruptions in transportation, roof damage, and the toppling of trees and poles.”

A SIGNIFICANT DROP IN TEMPERATURES IS EXPECTED

Tomorrow (November 18), showers are expected to be effective across the country. Air temperatures will hover around 16 degrees in the Marmara Region, 18 degrees in the Aegean Region, 15 degrees in the Central Anatolia Region, and above 20 degrees in the Mediterranean Region. On Sunday, air temperatures will drop by 6-7 degrees in all regions.
