Turkey will face extreme heat in the coming days. Meteorology Expert Prof. Dr. Orhan Şen stated that temperatures will rise even further this week, drawing attention specifically to Tuesday and Wednesday in Istanbul.
Temperatures in Istanbul are expected to reach 35-36 degrees on these days, and may hit 37 degrees in some areas. Prof. Dr. Şen warned, "The elderly and children should not go out on these days. If they must go out, they should walk in the shade and wear sunglasses."
Temperatures in İzmir are expected to reach 37-38 degrees, and 30-35 degrees in Bodrum and Marmaris. Şen said, "Except for the Eastern Black Sea region, temperatures in all cities across Turkey will be above 35 degrees for the next 4-5 days."
In Ankara, temperatures are also forecast to rise to 36-37 degrees on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Therefore, it was emphasized that residents of the capital should also be cautious.
