Dam occupancy rates in Istanbul have been announced

The occupancy rate in the dams supplying water to Istanbul has been recorded at 81.29 percent.

According to data from the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ), the water occupancy rate in the dams has remained at similar levels for about a month. As of today, the occupancy rate in the dams was measured at 81.29 percent.

The water amounts by dam are as follows:

This year, 189.32 million cubic meters of water were drawn from Melen and Yeşilçay. The amount of water supplied to the city from drinking water treatment plants this year was calculated at 310 million 96 thousand cubic meters.

In the first 4 months of this year, the amount of precipitation falling on the dams was 248.89 kilograms per square meter.

While the dams and ponds supplying water to the city have a storage capacity of 868 million 683 thousand cubic meters, the water amount was recorded as 706.18 million cubic meters as of today.

Daily water consumption in Istanbul was measured at 3 million 92 thousand cubic meters as of yesterday.
