Dardanelles closed to traffic due to dense fog

The Dardanelles, where dense fog has intensified, has caused disruptions in maritime transport. Due to reduced visibility, strait traffic was closed to transit ship passages in both directions as of 02:00.

Officials from the Dardanelles Vessel Traffic Services Directorate warned ship captains entering from the north and south via radio, announcing that the strait traffic had been suspended. Ships have begun waiting in anchorage areas.
