Fire at İzmir port

A forest fire has broken out near the Nemport Port in the Aliağa district of İzmir. Efforts to extinguish the flames are underway from both the air and the ground.

The forest fire started around 14:30 in the vicinity of the Nemport Port in Aliağa. The first response to the fire, the cause of which has not yet been determined, was made within 13 minutes.

Intervention against the flames continues with 2 helicopters, 8 fire trucks, 3 water tenders, 1 bulldozer, and 1 ground crew belonging to the İzmir Regional Directorate of Forestry.
