A forest fire that began around 16:00 in the Eğriçam area of the Üçtepe neighborhood in Adana's İmamoğlu district grew rapidly due to the wind. Upon reports from local citizens, Regional Directorate of Forestry teams were quickly dispatched to the scene. Teams are working intensively to bring the fire under control, intervening from both the air and the ground.
GRASS FIRE IN ANKARA THREATENED THE FOREST
A grass fire that started at 15:00 in the Göztepe neighborhood of Ankara's Bala district spread to the forest due to the wind. To prevent the fire from growing, the General Directorate of Forestry and the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality fire department teams intervened quickly. The fire was brought under control and extinguished in a short time, and cooling efforts were carried out in the area. An investigation has been launched into the cause of the fire.
FIRE IN KOCAELİ BROUGHT UNDER CONTROL IN A SHORT TIME
A fire that broke out at 16:00 in the City Forest in the İzmit district of Kocaeli was extinguished as a result of about an hour of work by fire crews. The fire, which started in the Umuttepe area, was brought under control before it could spread to a large area thanks to a rapid response following reports from citizens. Teams are continuing cooling efforts in the region following the fire. It was stated that the burned area was imaged by drone.
