In Muğla, the majority of the forest fires that broke out at different locations on Tuesday have been brought under control. Muğla Governor İdris Akbıyık announced that five of the six fires that started in three regions across the province on July 14 have been brought under control, while the fight against the fire in the Bozbük area of Milas district continues.
According to the statement made by the Governor's Office, the fire in Bozbük started at approximately 17:03. The fire was responded to with various vehicles, including eight airplanes, 12 helicopters, 63 water tenders, and riot control vehicles (TOMA).
Due to the fire, 350 people, including staff, were evacuated from hotels in the area. Additionally, it was reported that 770 people from surrounding residential complexes were moved to safe zones.
The Muğla Metropolitan Municipality also announced that the fires that broke out in the Ortaca and Kavaklıdere districts have been brought under control. Municipality and Governor's Office teams provided updates on the latest situation in the fire zone throughout the night.
