Forest fire breaks out in Fethiye
A fire that started in a wooded area in the Fethiye district of Muğla was brought under control before it could spread, thanks to a rapid response.

A forest fire occurred in the Taşyaka neighborhood of Fethiye today at around 15:30. Upon reports from citizens who witnessed the incident, numerous teams were dispatched to the area. Three water tenders, one first-response vehicle, one helicopter, and fire department units were sent to the scene to intervene in the fire.
As a result of intensive efforts from both the ground and the air, the teams prevented the fire from spreading and brought it under control within approximately one hour, before its burning effect could increase. Cooling efforts are still ongoing to ensure the fire is completely extinguished.
Meanwhile, it was announced that investigations are continuing to determine the cause of the fire.
