Forest fire breaks out in Hassa district of Hatay: Neighborhood headman provides update on the situation

Aerial and ground intervention has been launched against a fire that broke out in a forested area in the Hassa district of Hatay. The headman of Hassa's Akbez neighborhood provided the latest update on the situation to 12punto.

A fire broke out for an unknown reason in a forested area in the Akbez neighborhood.

Upon notification, teams from the Regional Directorate of Forestry, along with helicopters, fire trucks, and Metropolitan Municipality fire department crews, were dispatched to the region.

Teams intervened from the air and ground to bring the fire under control.

Emrah Koç, the headman of the Akbez neighborhood in Hassa, stated in his remarks to 12punto that the fire had been extinguished with the intervention of helicopters, that there were no issues, and that the fire did not spread to any houses.

Koç also reported that there was no need for any evacuations.
