Forest fire in Balıkesir
A forest fire that broke out in the Sındırgı district of Balıkesir was brought under control within 2 hours thanks to the rapid intervention of teams.

The forest fire, which started around 13:00 near the rural Çılbırcı neighborhood of Sındırgı district, was reported to the authorities after local residents noticed the flames. Upon the notification, the Balıkesir Regional Directorate of Forestry dispatched 2 aircraft, 1 helicopter, and 10 fire trucks to intervene in the fire.
As a result of the effective intervention carried out by the teams both from the air and on the ground, the fire was brought under control around 15:30. While investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire, cooling efforts continue in the area.
