Forest fires in Çatalca and Beykoz brought under control in a short time
Forest fires that broke out in the Çatalca and Beykoz districts of Istanbul were extinguished before they could spread, thanks to the rapid and coordinated intervention of emergency teams.

The forest fire that began early in the day in the İhsaniye neighborhood of Çatalca broke out for reasons yet to be determined. Following the dispatch of 4 fire trucks and 30 personnel to the scene, the fire was brought under control around 16:40 after hours of work, with 0.5 hectares of forest land damaged.
On the same day in the afternoon, a similar fire occurred in the Kılıçlı neighborhood of Beykoz. The fire, which started at 15:50, was met with both aerial and ground intervention. In addition to three firefighting helicopters, 17 fire trucks and 80 personnel were deployed to the area to prevent the flames from spreading. As a result of the intensive efforts of the teams, the fire was brought under control at 18:30, with approximately 3 hectares of afforestation area and scrubland damaged.
In both incidents, while the cause of the fires has not yet been clarified, it was stated that investigations initiated by the authorities are ongoing. A total of 3.5 hectares of land were damaged in these forest fires in Istanbul.
Authorities warned citizens to be careful in forested areas and to report any smoke or fire immediately if spotted. It was emphasized that preventive measures in the region will be increased to prevent potential similar incidents.
