The first of the cemres, known among the public as the harbinger of spring, has fallen into the air.
The cemre, which is used to mean 'temperature' and 'rise in temperature', will fall into the water on February 27 and into the soil on March 6.
According to the Turkish Language Association (TDK), a cemre means 'a rise in temperature believed to occur in the air, water, and soil at one-week intervals in February'.
It is accepted that the cemre, which means fire and ember, falls first into the air, then into the water, and finally into the soil, according to the calendar that begins at the end of February each year.
The falling of the cemre also signals that the spring festival of Nevruz is approaching.
