İSKİ releases latest data: Water levels in Istanbul dams rise with rainfall
The occupancy rate of dams supplying water to Istanbul has begun to rise again following recent effective rainfall. According to İSKİ data, the average level has reached 26.1 percent, with Elmalı recorded as the fullest dam and Kazandere as the one with the lowest level.

Water levels in Istanbul's dams have shown a recovery following the rainfall that arrived after the dry period experienced in November and December. According to the latest data shared by the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ), the average occupancy rate of dams in the megacity was measured at 26.1 percent.
The average occupancy, which was at 18.91 percent on January 11, recorded an increase with the contribution of rainfall in recent weeks. However, it was also noted that levels in some dams remain low.
The data revealed that the highest occupancy rate was seen at the Elmalı Dam with 77.6 percent, while the lowest rate was seen at the Kazandere Dam with 5.38 percent.
According to İSKİ's data dated January 24, the occupancy rates of dams in Istanbul are as follows:
- Alibey Dam: 21.22 percent
- Büyükçekmece Dam: 18.14 percent
- Darlık Dam: 43.57 percent
- Elmalı Dam: 77.6 percent
- Istrancalar Dam: 32.54 percent
- Kazandere Dam: 5.38 percent
- Pabuçdere Dam: 7.46 percent
- Sazlıdere Dam: 15.76 percent
- Terkos Dam: 16.55 percent
- Ömerli Dam: 37.38 percent
