According to data from the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ), the average occupancy rate of the dams has risen to 34.47 percent following the rainfall in the mega-city.
Due to the climate crisis and drought, the occupancy rate in the city's dams had previously fallen to 17.08 percent.
According to İSKİ data, as of December 5, the dam occupancy rates in Istanbul are as follows:
• Alibey Dam 43.42 percent
• Büyükçekmece Dam 21.48 percent
• Darlık Dam 48.85 percent
• Istrancalar Dam 30.85 percent
• Kazandere Dam 14.23 percent
• Elmalı Dam 80.04 percent
• Ömerli Dam 58.15 percent
• Pabuçdere Dam 10.12 percent
• Sazlıdere Dam 16.76 percent
• Terkos Dam 18.71 percent
