Meteorological warning for heavy rain: Yellow code issued for 28 provinces

The General Directorate of Meteorology reports that according to the latest assessments, the country is expected to be partly to very cloudy overall, with local showers and thunderstorms expected in the north and east of Marmara, the interior of the Western Mediterranean, the Eastern Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, the Black Sea, the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia regions, as well as the eastern parts of Çanakkale, Kütahya, Afyonkarahisar, and the eastern surroundings of Denizli. Precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the Eastern Mediterranean, the interior of the Central Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, the Western Black Sea, the interior of the Central Black Sea, and the surroundings of Gaziantep, Kilis, and Adıyaman. Dust transport is expected in the eastern part of the Eastern Mediterranean and in Southeastern Anatolia.

AIR TEMPERATURE

No significant change in air temperature is expected.

WIND

The wind is expected to blow from the north in general, and from the south in the southern and eastern parts, at light to occasionally moderate strength, and locally strong during precipitation in areas where heavy rain is expected.

HEAVY RAIN WARNING

Since precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the Eastern Mediterranean, the interior of the Central Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, the Western Black Sea, the interior of the Central Black Sea, and the surroundings of Gaziantep, Kilis, and Adıyaman, it is necessary to be cautious and take precautions against potential negative consequences such as flash floods, flooding, lightning, local hail, and strong winds during precipitation.

DUST TRANSPORT WARNING

As dust transport is expected in the eastern part of the Eastern Mediterranean and in Southeastern Anatolia, caution and precautions should be taken against negative effects such as reduced visibility, decreased air quality, and disruptions in transportation.
