According to the forecasts made by the Turkish State Meteorological Service: The country is expected to be partly to very cloudy, with precipitation expected in the Marmara, Aegean (except Muğla), Central Anatolia, Black Sea, Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia regions, the surroundings of Kahramanmaraş, the northern parts of Adana, and the inland parts of eastern Antalya.

The precipitation is expected to be generally in the form of rain and showers, and in the form of sleet and snow in the high parts of Kırklareli in the morning hours, and in the inner Aegean, Central Anatolia, the inner parts of the Black Sea, the north and east of Eastern Anatolia, and the surroundings of Bilecik from the evening hours onwards. Precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the Black Sea coastal regions (except Sinop), and the surroundings of Istanbul, Bursa, Yalova, Kocaeli, Sakarya, Tokat, Gümüşhane, Bayburt, Erzincan, and Tunceli.

Icing and frost are expected in the northeastern parts in the morning hours and in the inner and eastern parts during the night. There is a risk of avalanches on the high slopes of the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea and the high and steep slopes of Eastern Anatolia.

Air temperatures are expected to drop noticeably across the country.

On the other hand, in the Meteorology's weather forecast report for March 18, a yellow alert was issued for 27 cities, including Istanbul.

MARMARA

Very cloudy, the entire region is expected to be rainy. Precipitation is expected to be generally in the form of rain and showers, and in the form of sleet and snow in the high parts of Kırklareli in the morning hours and in the surroundings of Bilecik from the evening hours onwards. Precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the surroundings of Istanbul, Bursa, Yalova, Sakarya, and Kocaeli. The wind is expected to blow from the north and northeast across the region, strong and occasionally in the form of short-term storms (50-70 km/h).
