According to the assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: The country is expected to be partly to very cloudy, with intermittent rain and downpours expected across the Marmara, Aegean, Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, Western Black Sea, the interior parts of the Central and Eastern Black Sea, the general Eastern Anatolia region (except Kars and Iğdır), the north and west of Southeastern Anatolia, and the surroundings of Samsun in the morning hours. Coastal Aegean and Mediterranean coasts are expected to see local thunderstorms, while the northeast of Eastern Anatolia is expected to see sleet after the evening hours, with snow in higher elevations. Precipitation is expected to be heavy in the west of Marmara, the coastal Aegean and Mediterranean regions, as well as in Istanbul, Bursa, Çanakkale, the western parts of Balıkesir, the southern surroundings of Van, and Hakkari; and locally very heavy and severe in the coastal parts of Aydın and Muğla, the eastern districts of Antalya, Çanakkale, the south of İzmir, and the west of Balıkesir. Icing and frost are expected in the northeast of Eastern Anatolia this morning. There is a danger of avalanches and snowmelt in the high, sloping areas with deep snow cover in the interior parts of the Eastern Black Sea and the east of Eastern Anatolia. Dust transport is expected in the interior parts of the Central and Eastern Black Sea, and in the east of Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia.

Air temperatures are expected to decrease by 2 to 6 degrees in areas receiving precipitation, but will remain above seasonal norms across the country.

The wind is generally expected to blow from southern directions, light to occasionally moderate, and strong with short-term storms (40-70 km/h) in the south of Marmara, the Aegean, Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, and the interior parts of the Western and Central Black Sea, and locally as storms (50-80 km/h) in the interior parts of the Eastern Black Sea.
