According to the forecasts made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: The inner and western parts of our country are expected to be partly to very cloudy, with intermittent precipitation in the Marmara region (except Bilecik), the Aegean coast, the Western Black Sea, and the surroundings of Manisa, Uşak, and Samsun, while other areas are expected to be slightly cloudy and clear. The precipitation, which is expected to be generally sleet and snow, and rain and showers in the surroundings of Edirne, Tekirdağ, Istanbul, Çanakkale, and Izmir, is forecast to be locally heavy in the surroundings of Izmir, the coastal parts of Aydın, the south of Çanakkale, and the western coasts of Balıkesir. Icing and frost, along with mist and local fog, are expected in the Inner Aegean, Central Anatolia, the inner parts of the Black Sea, Eastern Anatolia, and the north of Southeastern Anatolia during the morning and night hours. There is an avalanche danger in the sloped areas with high snow cover in the high altitudes of the Eastern Black Sea and the east of Eastern Anatolia.
Air temperatures are expected to rise (by 3 to 5 degrees) in the northern, inner, and western parts.
The wind is expected to blow generally from southern directions, light to occasionally moderate, and strong to stormy (50-80 km/h) from southern and southwestern directions in the Marmara, Northern Aegean, and Western and Central Black Sea regions.
