According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM): The country is expected to be mostly cloudy with intermittent precipitation. Precipitation is expected to be generally in the form of rain and downpours, with sleet and occasional snow in the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea and the north and east of Eastern Anatolia (excluding Iğdır and Ağrı). Precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the northeast of Marmara, the Aegean, the Mediterranean, the west of Central Anatolia, and the Western Black Sea (excluding Sinop), as well as in the surroundings of Edirne, Kırklareli, Çanakkale, Adıyaman, Gaziantep, and Kilis. Winds are expected to blow strongly (40-60 km/h) from the north in Marmara, and from the south in the Aegean, Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, and the Central Black Sea, with occasional storms (60-80 km/h) in the Coastal Aegean. Dust transport is expected on the western coasts of the Western Mediterranean and the Aegean. There is a danger of avalanches and snowmelt in sloping areas with high snow cover in the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea and Eastern Anatolia.
Air temperatures are expected to decrease by 3 to 5 degrees in the eastern parts, with no significant changes expected elsewhere.
Winds are generally expected to be light to moderate from southerly directions, blowing strongly (40-60 km/h) in Marmara (from the north), the Aegean, the Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, and the Central Black Sea, and occasionally as storms (60-80 km/h) in the Coastal Aegean.
