Meteorology issues warning: Thunderstorm alert for numerous provinces

According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: The country is expected to be partly to, over time, locally very cloudy, with rain and thunderstorms forecast for the inland parts of the Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, the inland parts of the Black Sea, the north and west of Eastern Anatolia, and the surroundings of Edirne, Kırklareli, Afyonkarahisar, Adıyaman, and Diyarbakır. Precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the inland parts of the Central Black Sea region and around Kastamonu, Yozgat, and Sivas after midday.

Air temperatures are expected to be 6 to 8 degrees above seasonal norms in the northwestern parts of the country and 2 to 4 degrees above in other areas.

The wind is generally expected to blow from southerly directions, light to occasionally moderate.
