Meteorology issues heavy rain warning: Yellow code for 5 provinces

According to the assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: It is estimated that the country will be partly to mostly cloudy, with local showers and thunderstorms expected in the east of the Marmara region, the interior parts of the Central Mediterranean, the Eastern Mediterranean, the coasts of the Western, Central, and Eastern Black Sea, as well as the surroundings of Istanbul, Konya, Karaman, Niğde, Kayseri, Çankırı, Sivas, Artvin, Kars, Ardahan, Iğdır, Ağrı, the north of Balıkesir, and the northern and eastern parts of Erzurum and Van. Rainfall is expected to be locally heavy in the Eastern Mediterranean.

AIR TEMPERATURE: It is estimated that temperatures will decrease by 2 to 4 degrees in the interior and northeastern parts, remain unchanged elsewhere, and continue to hover above seasonal norms across the country.

WIND: It is estimated that the wind will generally blow from the north, and from the south on the Mediterranean coasts, at light to occasionally moderate strength.

STRONG RAIN WARNING: Since rainfall is expected to be locally heavy in the Eastern Mediterranean during the noon hours, caution and precautions should be taken against potential negative consequences (floods, flash floods, strong winds during rainfall, disruptions in transportation, etc.).
