Meteorology issues warning with specific dates: Temperatures will rise

The General Directorate of Meteorology has announced that air temperatures across the country will rise starting Monday. Experts have issued warnings for the elderly and those with chronic illnesses.

As air temperatures continue to make their impact felt in Turkey, a warning for citizens has come from the General Directorate of Meteorology.

According to the statement made by the MGM, temperatures across the country are expected to remain above seasonal norms starting from this coming Monday.

Accordingly, throughout the coming week, air temperatures are expected to remain 1 to 3 degrees above seasonal norms in coastal areas, and 4 to 8 degrees above seasonal norms in the southern parts of the Marmara Region, the interior of the Aegean, the interior of the Mediterranean Region, Central Anatolia, the interior of the Black Sea Region, and the northern parts of the Eastern Anatolia and Southeastern Anatolia regions.
