According to forecasts made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: The northern parts of our country are expected to be partly to very cloudy, with intermittent showers and thunderstorms in the east of Marmara, the Black Sea, and the north of Eastern Anatolia, while other areas are expected to be partly to mostly clear. Precipitation is expected to be locally strong in the provinces of Sakarya, Düzce, Zonguldak, and Bartın, as well as the northern districts of Kastamonu, Bolu, and Karabük; it is expected to become strong over time in the surroundings of Giresun and Trabzon, and very strong in the east of Giresun, the western and eastern districts of Trabzon, and the north of Rize and Artvin.

Air temperatures are expected to be above seasonal norms (1-3 degrees) in the eastern parts, below seasonal norms (1-3 degrees) in the inland parts, and around seasonal norms in other places.

The wind is expected to blow lightly, occasionally moderately, from northerly directions in general and from southerly directions in the eastern parts of the country; it is expected to blow strongly in places (40-60 km/h) from northerly directions in the Marmara, Aegean, Western and Central Black Sea regions, and from southerly directions in the Eastern Black Sea and Eastern Anatolia regions.

YELLOW ALERT FROM MGM FOR 11 PROVINCES

In the MGM report, a yellow alert was issued for Sakarya, Bolu, Düzce, Bartın, Karabük, Zonguldak, Trabzon, Rize, Giresun, Kastamonu, and Artvin.

According to the latest evaluations; since the showers and thunderstorms expected in the Western Black Sea are predicted to be locally strong (21-50 kg/m2) starting from tomorrow (Thursday) morning in the provinces of Sakarya, Düzce, Zonguldak, and Bartın, as well as the northern districts of Kastamonu, Bolu, and Karabük, and over time strong (21-50 kg/m2) in the surroundings of Giresun and Trabzon, and very strong (51-75 kg/m2) in the east of Giresun, the western and eastern districts of Trabzon, and the north of Rize and Artvin, it is necessary to be careful and take precautions against negative conditions such as floods, water inundation, lightning, local small-scale hail, and strong winds during precipitation.

Since the wind is expected to blow strongly in places (40-60 km/h) from northerly directions in the Marmara, Aegean, Western and Central Black Sea regions, and from southerly directions in the Eastern Black Sea and Eastern Anatolia regions, citizens must be careful and take precautions.
