Warning of 'thunderstorms' from the MGM

The MGM has shared the weather report for September 3.

Precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the inland parts of the Western Mediterranean, the Taurus Mountains region of the Eastern Mediterranean, as well as the surroundings of Hatay, Afyonkarahisar, and Sakarya, and the inland parts of Muğla, Ordu, Giresun, Rize, and Trabzon.

AIR TEMPERATURE

Air temperatures are expected to increase by 3 to 5 degrees in the Marmara region, while no significant change is expected elsewhere, with temperatures remaining around seasonal norms.

WIND

The wind is expected to blow generally from the north, and from the south and west in the southern parts, light to occasionally moderate.

HEAVY RAIN WARNING

As precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the inland parts of the Western Mediterranean, the Taurus Mountains region of the Eastern Mediterranean, as well as the surroundings of Hatay, Afyonkarahisar, and Sakarya, and the inland parts of Muğla, Ordu, Giresun, Rize, and Trabzon, it is necessary to be careful and take precautions against negative conditions such as flash floods, flooding, lightning, local hail, and strong winds during precipitation.
