OGM announces: Forest fire in Serik brought under control
According to the statement made by the General Directorate of Forestry, the forest fire in the Serik district of Antalya has been brought under control as a result of effective interventions that continued throughout the day.

The forest fire that broke out yesterday in a wooded area in the Serik district of Antalya has been brought under control.
Intervention efforts against the fire, which started yesterday in the wooded area of Yumaklar Neighborhood, continued throughout the night.
The flames were brought under control with the help of 2 night-vision helicopters, 70 water tenders, 11 water supply vehicles, 5 construction machines, and a large number of firefighting personnel affiliated with the General Directorate of Forestry.
Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin had previously stated to reporters that the fire, which is believed to have been caused by a downed utility pole, was partially under control.
Governor Şahin had noted that 30 houses were evacuated due to the fire and that approximately 60 hectares of land were damaged.
