Published in the Official Gazette: Support payment for pufferfish hunting increased
With the decision published in the Official Gazette, the upper limits for support payments to be made to fishermen who hunt pufferfish have been updated.

The upper limits for support payments made to fishermen to encourage the hunting of invasive pufferfish species have been reorganized.
The Presidential Decree on the subject was published in the Official Gazette. The decision entered into force effective from January 1.
According to the regulation, a support payment of 35 liras will be made for each fish up to 100 thousand pieces for the silver-cheeked toadfish (*Lagocephalus sceleratus*).
For other pufferfish species, the upper limit, which was previously applied as 200 thousand pieces, has been increased to 1 million. The support amount for these species will be applied as 10 liras per piece.
