Snow is coming to Ankara!
Weather Forecasting Expert Abdullah Macit announced that the cool and rainy weather affecting the country will continue, and that snowfall will impact Central Anatolia and Eastern Anatolia.

Abdullah Macit, a Weather Forecasting Expert at the General Directorate of Meteorology of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, made statements regarding the weather conditions that will be effective across the country throughout this week. Stating that the cool and rainy weather will continue until the weekend, Macit announced that the precipitation will persist until Saturday.
He stated that starting tomorrow, sleet and snowfall are expected in the eastern parts of Central Anatolia and the northern parts of Eastern Anatolia. He also expressed that on Friday, there will be snowfall in the Inner Aegean, Central Anatolia, the inland parts of the Black Sea region, and the northern parts of Eastern Anatolia.
Macit noted that temperatures across the country will continue to remain below seasonal norms and that temperatures are not expected to rise until the beginning of next week. However, it is estimated that temperatures will begin to increase in the western regions as of Monday.
SNOWFALL IS COMING
The wind is expected to blow strongly from southern directions. Macit warned citizens in the Eastern Anatolia and Southeastern Anatolia regions to be cautious against wind and dust transport.
Furthermore, snowfall is expected on Friday, particularly in Ankara, as well as in the Central Anatolia Region and the inland parts of the Western Black Sea region. Warning that the snowfall could lead to disruptions in transportation, Macit stated that heavy snowfall will be particularly effective at the Bolu Mountain pass.
