Snow surprise in Kars in mid-May
Snowfall and cold weather took effect in the Sarıkamış district of Kars. The Handere Pass, Ağbaba Mountain, the Allahuekber Mountains, and Küçük Süphan Mountain were covered in white due to the snowfall.

In Sarıkamış, where the air temperature dropped to 2 degrees below zero at night, the intermittent downpour gave way to snowfall in the higher elevations.
The 2,368-meter-high Handere Pass, Ağbaba Mountain, the 3,180-meter-high Allahuekber Mountains, and Küçük Süphan Mountain were covered in white by the snowfall, and spring flowers were left under the snow.
Local resident Şenay Vanlı stated that the downpour had been effective for 10 days, saying, "The snow that fell after the rains covered everything in white. Hopefully, the air temperature will rise in a week."
